Young Diplomats of Canada

Robert is the Co-Founder and Chief Legal Counsel of the Young Diplomats of Canada (YDC), a national Canadian non-profit, volunteer youth-led organization whose mission is to build Canada's next generation of global leaders and be the voice of Canada's future foreign policy. Robert co-founded YDC in 2013 following several years as an executive of YDC's predecessor. He previously served as Executive Director and in numerous leadership roles. Read Robert's YDC Profile.

As an Ambassador and Executive of YDC, Robert has attended and recruited for several international diplomatic events, including:

• 2014: Robert led the recruitment and selection of multiple Canadian delegations to the 
• March 2014: Robert served as Head of Delegation to the 2014 Nuclear Knowledge Summit in Amsterdam. 
• 2012 and 2013: Robert led the recruitment and selection of the 2012 and 2013 Canadian delegations to the Y8 Youth Summits in Washington, DC and London, UK, respectively. 
• 2011: Robert represented Canada as the Minister of Defence at the 2011 G8 & G20 Youth Summit in Paris, France. 
• 2010: Robert served as the Minister of Finance at the 2010 G8 & G20 Youth Summit in Vancouver, BC.
